The International Symposium of Caserta (at the ‘Reale' palace, 23 rd -26 th September 1997) on the topic of ‘Result-based Management in Public Administration and its Educational Implications' has been promoted by the Post-graduate School of Public Administration in Rome, under collaboration with the Planning Studies Centre; the director of this Centre, Prof. Franco Archibugi, full Professor of the same school, was charged with developing the role of the scientific coordinator.
